How does a subscription order work?
A subscription order ensures a monthly delivery of fresh beans in 1kg packs at a discounted price and free shipping. Our house blends are also available in 2 or 3 week and bi-monthly frequencies.
A minimum of 3 subscription delivery periods applies. There is no obligation on subscriptions beyond an initial 3 delivery commitment.
You are provided a customer portal link to self manage your subscription, update the next delivery date, change the blend or cancel after the minimum commitment period).
When you place a subscription, you will receive a new subscription notification email with a link to your subscription/customer portal.
Your subscription will automatically renew on the scheduled billing date which you can view/amend in the customer portal. You will receive an email notification that your subscription is due to renew 3 days prior to the billing renewal date.
The default renewal date is the same day of the month for monthly recurrence, or the same day of the week for weekly recurring. Customers can amend the next fulfilment date via the customer portal or you can email us info@motobean.com.au to update it for you.
Find our subscription options here.
How often will I receive my subscription order?
When you place your subscription order, you choose a delivery frequency (monthly, every 2 or 3 weeks or bi-monthly). Our Roasters Choice subscription is curated for monthly delivery as the selection changes each month.
Subscriptions are automatically renewed. The scheduled dates are shown in your customer portal and can be changed if you are running short on coffee. You can select to 'order now' or simply shift the scheduled date.
How does the automatic renewal frequency work?
All subscriptions are renewed automatically unless they are paused or cancelled.
You can cancel or pause your order at any time after the initial commitment period of 3 deliveries.
The subscription date will be based on the date of your initial order. For example, a monthly recurring subscription first ordered on the 18th of the Month will automatically generate on the 18th of each month. If your subscription is fortnightly, it will be on the same day of the week each fortnight.
Can I change the coffee selection from one order to the next?
Yes. You can self-manage the coffee selection after the minimum number of deliveries (3). Just log into your account and select the manage subscription option. Expand the Products in your subscription and select a different subscription product from the options available. Remove the existing blend if you are swapping out not adding to your order. Don't forget to save the changes. The change will apply to your future subscriptions or until you swap it again.
If you would like to swap the coffee prior to your 4th delivery, just drop us a line at info@motobean.com.au and we can manage it for you.
Can I add other items to be delivered free with my subscription?
Yes you can self-manage the products after the minimum number of deliveries (3). Access your subscription via the customer portal. Beneath the items on your subscription click add item. Search for the product item you want to add. When you find the item you want, you have two options:
- Add will add that item to every fulfilment recurrence going forward.
- One time purchase will add the item to your next delivery only.
This is a great way to top up on items you don't need as frequently OR to try something new every now and again with the benefit of free shipping.
If you would like to add something additional prior to your 4th delivery, just drop us a line at info@motobean.com.au and we can manage it for you.
Can I create a gift subscription?
We have a 12 delivery gift subscription option available. When selecting this option, make sure you add the recipient details (name and address) to the shipping option. Gift subscriptions will automatically expire after the final subscription delivery. Bear in mind the subscription is in the name of the giver so the recipient cannot self manage. Notwithstanding, you could do it for them, or changes can be made by us.
An alternative is to purchase a gift card to the equivalent value of the subscription option you are looking for and that can be issued to the recipient. The reason for this is it will allow the recipient to self-manage their subscription - including delivery frequency, swapping/adding of products.
Do you offer custom subscriptions?
We'd love to help you build your own subscription pack.
