A Trio of Excellence: The Sipi Falls Project
Named after the majestic trio of waterfalls on the outskirts of Mount Elgon National Park, this coffee represents the very best of Eastern Uganda. The region is famous for the 'Bugisu' Arabica, the most renowned of the Ugandan varieties. Certified Organic and cultivated as part of the Sipi Falls Coffee Project, this lot supports over 5,000 smallholder producers. With millions of families connected to this sustainable initiative, every sip is a celebration of community and environmental stewardship.
The Terroir: Volcanic Soils of Mount Elgon
Grown at altitudes between 1,300 and 1,900 MASL, this coffee benefits from the nutrient-dense volcanic soil of the MBale District.
- Anaerobic Natural Process: The cherries are fermented in an oxygen-free environment before being dried. This technique amplifies the "winey" characteristics and creates the deep, strawberry-forward profile.
- Varietal Heritage: A high-quality blend of Typica, SL14, and SL28—varieties prized for their clarity and sweetness.
- Organic Integrity: The Sipi Falls Project has been a leader in organic cultivation since 1999, ensuring no synthetic chemicals touch the land or the bean.
