Espresso Flavour Profile: Green Apple, Kiwi & Cocoa

Optimized for espresso, this memorable release delivers complex sweetness and stone fruit acidity with luxurious clarity. As a Medium Roast, it balances high-toned fruit with a satisfying, chocolatey base:

  • Palate: Vibrant notes of Green Apple and tropical Kiwifruit.
  • Aromatics: Elegant and fresh Florals.
  • Finish: A smooth, grounding Cocoa finish that provides excellent structure.
  • Mouthfeel: Crisp and clean, characteristic of high-altitude Rwandan washed coffees.

The Origin: High-Altitude Volcanic Terroir

Grown between 1,400 and 1,900 MASL, the Inzovu blend represents the finest beans from the Kigali hills.

To capture the green apple clarity and cocoa finish of this specialty coffee, we recommend starting with these espresso parameters. As always, feel free to tweak the recipe to your specific machine and taste:

  • Dose: 23g
  • Yield: 45ml
  • Time: 28–32 seconds

Roaster’s Tip: If the kiwifruit acidity feels a bit too "sharp," try extending your extraction time toward the 32-second mark. This will pull out more of the cocoa sweetness to round out the acidity.
