This coffee is decaffeinated using the Natural Ethyl Acetate (NEA) method — often called the Sugarcane Decaf Process. Using pure water and a natural compound derived from sugarcane molasses, this gentle method removes caffeine while preserving the bean’s cellular structure and flavour integrity.

The result is a chemical‑free, clean and sweet decaf with unexpected complexity, vibrant aromatics and a depth of flavour that traditional decaf rarely achieves.

Brew Guide: Extracting the Best from Decaf

Use these parameters as a starting point — decaf beans can be slightly more brittle, so small adjustments may be needed depending on your machine and grinder.

Espresso Parameters

  • Dose: 22.5g
  • Yield: 45g (1:2 brew ratio)
  • Time: 26–30 seconds

Roaster’s Tip: If the cup tastes a little thin, grind slightly finer to slow the shot. This helps draw out more of the chocolate malt and walnut sweetness.
