A bold, luxurious Blackberry Co-Fermented Coffee that redefines what a dark roast can be. Black Velvet blends the deep, chocolate‑rich intensity of our signature dark roast with the vibrant fruit sweetness of Jairo Arcila’s Blackberry Co‑Ferment — creating a cup that is smooth, powerful and beautifully layered.
This is dark coffee reimagined: sophisticated, velvety and full‑bodied, without the bitterness traditionally associated with darker profiles.
Co‑Fermented Coffee: The Magic in the Dark
Black Velvet Blackberry Co-Fermented Coffee is crafted using a process far beyond flavoured coffee. Instead of artificial oils or syrups, the Arcila family introduces real blackberry fruit during anaerobic fermentation at origin. The porous coffee bean absorbs the fruit’s natural sugars and acids from the inside out, creating a flavour profile that is integrated, authentic and complex.
When these fruit‑charged beans are blended with our dark roast, the result is a cup where depth and brightness work in harmony — bold, smooth and irresistibly rich.

Brew Guide: Crafting the Perfect Velvet Cup
Espresso (Recommended)
- Dose: 22.5g
- Yield: 45ml (1:2 ratio)
- Time: 28–32 seconds
Roaster’s Tip: Black Velvet shines in milk. Expect flavours reminiscent of forest fruit chocolate cake — rich, creamy and deeply satisfying.
Stovetop / Moka Pot
- Dose: Fill basket to the brim (no tamp)
- Water: Pre‑heated, just below boiling
Roaster’s Tip: Remove from heat as soon as the coffee begins to “hiss” to preserve the delicate blackberry sugars and avoid over‑extraction.
